Arizona Jewish Academy believes strongly that an amazing education is the foundation of a great high school, but it is only the start. Arizona Jewish Academy has curated a wide variety of athletic and extracurricular opportunities in STEM, the Arts, Jewish life and learning, as well as recreational, league and competitive sports. We are especially proud to offer these opportunities to our students in an environment aligned with Shabbat and Jewish Holiday observance. Arizona Jewish Academy partners with The Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE), to engage students in high level educational opportunities in science, technology, and entrepreneurship. Students compete in national competitions, showcasing their innovative projects. Arizona Jewish Academy students are well prepared for these competitions through expert faculty mentorship.
Arizona Jewish Academy students participate in Speech and Debate via the Citron Online District. Students have regular access to coaching in oratory skills and gather for national level competitions.
Arizona Jewish Academy publishes an annual Creative Arts Portfolio, under the guidance of expert faculty mentorship. Students submit their prize-winning essays, poems, drawings, and photography. Our Creative Arts Portfolio gives students an outlet for personal expression and an opportunity to showcase their work to others.
Arizona Jewish Academy offers team and individual sports league options for both boys and girls. Options include:

Students to engage with modern-day ethical questions using Jewish legal wisdom.
Arizona Jewish Academy sends students to the Jewish Unity Mentoring Program (JUMP) Conference, the NCSY National Leadership Program that trains and empowers high school students from all over the United States.
Female students have an opportunity to participate in Jewish Actresses of Arizona (JAAZ) annual theater performances.
The International Bible Contest is a worldwide competition on the Tanakh (Jewish Bible) for middle school and high school Jewish students. The competition raises awareness among the general Jewish public, especially high-school students, about the importance of the Tanach to Jewish identity and heritage.
As a young school, Arizona Jewish Academy continues to develop new extracurricular activities all the time!
